Susha was still in the final MB when we decided to get married on 20th July 1969 before joining the Army.She later joined me at Pune where I was doing internship at Command Hospital AFMC. We moved to Hydrabad in 1971with new posting. Our first son, Shalender was born there. He is now 43. He is married to childhood sweetheart,Alka, who is also a Malayali Orthodox like Susha. They have three beautiful children. Rekha is 13 and two boys are Naveen age11 and Sanjay age9. They live in Brisbane. Shalender is an Electrical Engineer from Sydney University and has been working as Asia Pacific Regional Manager for Honeywell International. Alka is a Mechanical Engineer from Sydney University. She is a full time mother. My Younger son, Sumer was born in 1975. He is an Art Grduate and has been working for Commonwealth Bank of Australia, one of the big four banks, in a national managerial role . He is married to Simone, a 4th generation Australian Lebanese Christian. She is a Chartered Accountant and works for Lion Nathan/ Heiniken Australia in a senior position. They live in Sydney and have two beautiful children. Sofia is 5 and Joshua is 3 years old.
